PRP Undereye
What is PRP?
PRP therapy uses your own blood’s healing factors to stimulate collagen production and cell renewal. We process your blood to concentrate the platelets, creating a powerful natural serum rich in growth factors.
Patients love this procedure for its all-natural approach: no fillers, no migration, no unnatural materials!
Benefits & Results
PRP treatments deliver powerful rejuvenation through multiple pathways:
- Dark circles and under-eye hollows visibly diminish
- Fine lines and wrinkles soften
- Skin texture becomes smoother and more refined
- Firmness and elasticity improve significantly
- Natural healing processes accelerate
Most patients enjoy these improvements for 12-18 months, with optimal results appearing about 3 months after treatment as your collagen production increases.
Pre-Treatment Care
Preparation is key to optimal results! Stay well-hydrated and avoid alcohol consumption 24 hours before your appointment. Please arrive with clean skin, free of makeup, and ensure you’ve eaten a meal before the procedure. Plan to stick around in the office for 1.5-2 hours total. If you use a retinol product, discontinue it 3 days prior to your procedure.
During the Procedure
For under-eye injections, your treatment will begin with a blood draw and PRP processing. We’ll apply a numbing cream for your comfort before performing precise injections under the eyes with needle or cannula technique.
The Vampire Facial involves similar initial steps but includes microneedling to create microchannels in your skin, followed by PRP application.
Post-Treatment Care
The first 48 hours after treatment require special attention. Keep your head elevated while sleeping and apply ice packs as needed to manage any swelling. Avoid makeup application, strenuous exercise, and direct sun exposure during this time. Throughout the first week, use only gentle cleansers and your prescribed skincare products, and maintain diligent sun protection with a broad-spectrum SPF. We typically say about 3 days of “downtime”, during which your undereyes may be swollen and your face might look slightly sunburnt. Some patients also may bruise, which resolves slowly over about one week.
What to Expect
Your healing journey will begin with possible mild swelling and bruising, but initial results become visible within days. You’ll notice progressive improvement over the following 2-3 months. Some patients may require 2-3 sessions to achieve their desired results. As this is a natural treatment using your own blood, downtime is minimal. However, patients with certain blood disorders may not be candidates for this treatment.
